Abigail Chamungwana, commonly recognized by her aliases Abby Chams is a Tanzanian multi-instrumentalist, social activist and a singer signed under Sony Music. She was born in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, in a musical family whose grandfather was a music director of an orchestra and her grandmother a singer in the church choir.
Abby’s significance lies in her exceptional talent and mastery of multiple musical instruments. Starting her musical journey at a very young age, mastering instruments such as piano, violin, guitar, drums, and flute showcases her versatility and dedication to music.
Being signed under Sony Music, Abigail Chamungwana serves as an ambassador for Tanzanian music on the global stage. Abby Chams was officially introduced as the newest member to join the Sony Music Entertainment Africa family in June, 2022.
